Of all the noticeable icons that configure London’s identity, the likes of Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, and Buckingham palace to name a few, one cultural symbol stands out as being an integral part of British identity. That icon is the pub. Like the numerous red double Decker buses which fly past every so often, it is hard not to notice the abundance of pubs in central London.

Joining the famous five streets of Regent, Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly and Haymarket lays a busy intersection, lit up at night by the bright lights of the LCD displays located on the north east side; welcome to Piccadilly Circus.
Piccadilly Circus situated in the heart of London is described by some as a place of exceptional sites due to its advertising screens. When the sun begins to set over this hectic juncture, the glow of the six advertising displays situated high above the ground has drawn in the hustle and bustle of hundreds of people each night since the 1900s.

All over Great Britain rising temperatures are causing concerns of a heatwave, but many Australian tourists are wondering what the fuss is all about. The past few days in the city of London saw temperatures reach around 32°C, which is the hottest the area has experienced all year. However, this “heatwave” seems to be nothing more then an average summer’s day in Melbourne.
