Circus Oz is back in town.
The first Melbourne show kicks off on June 16th with shows running through until July 11th.
Check out www.circusoz.com for further details.
Commencing at 4pm today, musicians, music industry people and music fans alike protested, in the thousands against new liquor licensing laws. These laws are threatening to close down live music venues that simply can't afford to stay open for business. Thousands of punters joined in the protest as they think it's unfair these venues are targeted as 'high risk'. They argue that the violence in recent times has occurred in the city around the club venues rather than the music venues.
For the first time, in the history of the 17 years the festival has run, all of the Australian shows of Big Day Out have sold out.
Could it be fact that it may be the last time we see Lily Allen perform live?
Is it because there are so many wonderful Australian bands playing?
Or is everyone going to see Muse? (I don't remember Big Day Out being sold out in 2007, when they were playing)
In this so called 'recession' we seem to be having, seems like music concerts and festivals have not suffered!
