Amal Illesinghe is a sports nut through and through. His specialities include AFL, cricket and gymnastics. He will give any sport a go, and that goes for watching them too.

His most enjoyable sporting experiences involve playing backyard cricket in the summer with his dog (who plays the role of a fielder admirably).

Amal spent his younger years in a sleepy little country town four hours northwest of Melbourne. He's a simple bloke, really.
