So I'm currently 22-years-young and love journalism and writing. For the past several years I've been published in several publications, writing for online, radio and print. I'm thrilled to be a part of the dynamic News Hit team and excited to watch and influence it's growth.

Some of us aspire to say that one day, we'll be good enough to appear on a Kerri-Anne Kennerley show, A Current Affair, or even the creme de la creme Today Tonight (insert Edna Krabappel's sarcastic "HA" here).

Let me share a personal quirk: I collect vintage books. Some history, some poetry, but most are from the pre-1950s with tattered and worn covers, slightly scented of old library (or of mothball if you're not the romantic type). Inside you find a treasure trove of wonderous information and literature of the time; I equate this to the people we meet day to day, and also to how often I am perceived in a particular way.

We should not judge a book by it's cover because once we crack that binding and read those initial words, we are overcome by a wealth of knowledge that wasn't expected, but should never have been underestimated.
