About Gabriele Oberman
Gabriele is studying Arts at Monash University. She has a passion for politics, anthropology, history and international studies. Her aspiration at the moment is to enter into the education or journalism field, with the dream of working in an international school or as a freelance journalist.
Her favourite pastime is daydreaming about travelling around the world or picturing herself in another era, such as in 1950s America or London in the 1960s. However, she loves playing tourist in her own city, Melbourne, as there is always something interesting to do or to discover.
Her favourite movies include Marie Antoinette, Lost in Translation, Vicky Christina Barcelona, An Education, Back to the Future, Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator and Modern Times. Her favourite television station is SBS because of all their quirky international films. She also loves world music and the soundtracks from her favourite movies. On her to-do list is to watch the second half of Gone with the Wind and becoming fluent in French.
