Lillian (Lily) Altman is 20 years old and studying for an Arts degree, with a double major in Journalism and Film & Television studies, at Monash University. She has been a contributor for the Monash Caulfield magazine, Esperanto, since the start of her undergraduate course.

An aspiring music journalist, always attending concerts and festivals, Lily would like to one day work for Rolling Stone magazine. Until then, she is the perfect person to take on the role of NewsHit’s resident music and concert reviewer (the level of tinnitus that she claims to suffer from alone makes her ten times more qualified than any of the other candidates for the job).

She is also the proud owner of many concert and band T-shirts and would go crazy if there were no concerts to look forward to!

She would also like to produce a Tropfest film, which would then hopefully lead to a full-length feature film deal. And that would add one more film to the thirty five good quality movies that are made in Australia every year, compared to the 500 movies that Hollywood churns out every year.
