Trailers – Hobo, Buried, Due Date

The first trailer for Jason Eisener’s Hobo with a Shotgun has been released. Hobo is a feature-length adaptation of a trailer that screened during Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’ Grindhouse in Canada and some other international territories. Winner of a contest set up by The Weinstein Company to promote Grindhouse in 2007, the film screened alongside Rodriguez’ Machete (which has also been adapted to a film, but lost out to Anton Corbijn's The American at last weekend’s American Box Office), Rob Zombie's Werewolf Women of the SS, Edgar Wright’s Don’t and Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving. Here is a look at the latest trailer...

and its Grindhouse equivalent...

Rodrigo Cortés’s Buried has built strong word of mouth since its debut at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The story of American contractor (Ryan Reynolds) who is buried alive has already drawn comparisons with Hitchcock.

Warner Bros. have released an international trailer for Due Date. The studio will be looking for another The Hangover-style hit from director Todd Phillips and star Zach Galifianakis who team with Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx for this Plains, Trains and Automobiles-like comedy about a harried father-to-be (Downey) trying to make it home in time for his child’s birth.
