A miracle... of modern medicine.

An order of nuns says Mary MacKillop helped save formerly conjoined twins Trishna and Krishna:

Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart, founded by Blessed Mary in 1866, held a 24-hour prayer vigil during the orphaned twins' marathon surgery and yesterday said they believed the soon to be saint helped doctors perform the miracle.

This would be a little bit more believable if the twins weren't separated through a medical procedure. If these prayers alone caused the twins to separate, then that would have been a real miracle, but since that obviously wasn't the case, it almost sounds as though they are trying to take the credit for the painstaking work of the doctors.

So true

Reminds me of what Dawkins said when he went to that pool of miracles. The miracles were never 'he regrew a leg' but 'he can now move slightly faster after 4PM on Wednesdays without a walking stick'.
