New News Conference to look at what works in journalism

The Public Interest Journalism Foundation's second annual New News Conference will be held at Melbourne's Wheeler Centre later this week.

The theme of this year's conference is 'What works?' and will encompass sessions on poltical, public interest and health journalism, new media experiments and innovative new ways of presenting and packaging content.

News Hit co-founder and editor Craig Butt will be on the panel for 'Cool New Toys', a free session at 12pm on Friday which looks at what handy new apps and gadgets have to offer journalists.

While News Hit won't have a stall at this year's conference, our friends from the Access will be there so if you're going along on the Friday be sure to say hello to them.
