  14. The News Hit logo, brand, and Site Content are registered trademarks if News Hit. Other trademarks may be displayed within the Site Content; these may belong to third parties and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. No Site Content should be construed as granting any claim or right to use or reproduce any logo, trademark, content, or banner, without the express written permission of the relevant owner.
  15. You agree to indemnify News Hit (including News Hit’s owners, staff, editors, contributors, and interns) for any and all legal costs affecting News Hit (including action, claim, loss, or expense) arising from your use of the Site Content.
  16. Any content submitted to News Hit is submitted on the understanding that submissions grant an exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish that content. The right not to publish content contributed remains at the discretion of News Hit’s editors. When submitting any content you guarantee that you possess the necessary rights, including copyright, and that content submitted is not defamatory or infringe upon any Australian laws. When submitting content you agree to indemnify News Hit against any and all legal costs, damages, and expenses that may be incurred by News Hit as a result of any breaches of the above guarantee.

  1. News Hit acknowledges the importance of all personally identifiable information obtained.
  2. News Hit is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) when collecting or using any personally identifiable information (hereafter information)

  5. News Hit will never disclose or misuse information without expressly written consent.

  9. Information posted in public forums, message boards, and chat rooms becomes public information and News Hit has no control over how other users employ this information.

News Hit wishes to advise these third parties are not subject to News Hit control or influence and may misuse information collected. News Hit is not in any way liable for third-party use of information.
